Why is the flat so cheap?
Under the terms of Glenkerry Houses lease, the flat is for sale for owner-occupation only at half the Valuation Office Agencys (VOA) valuation. VOA's assessed price is £330,000 (Price correct for the last valuation in March 2016.) This is essentially a 50% discount on the value of the flat, it is not a shared ownership scheme - you pay half price and wholly own the lease. It is not a buy half / rent half payment scheme.
